Alberto Campo Baeza

A compact three story building, constructed on a 16 x 12 meter rectangle, was planned to contain the complementary functions of an existing public school.

Resolved with the utmost sobriety, a reinforced concrete box is suitably excavated. The library is located on the ground floor, and offices on the first floor. A multi-purpose room occupies the diaphanous space of the topmost floor, continuous strip skylights illuminating the two interior edges.

Each floor connects to the older building, with the new stairs acting as the entry for the whole.

The entire project is realized with a great economy of means.
