2023 may, HOUSE IN MOJÁCAR WINS THE ARCO AWARD by coaa
A white house in Mojácar by architects Alberto Campo Baeza and Modesto Sánchez Morales has been awarded the ARCO 2023 Prize given annually by Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Alamería. The jury was chaired by Luis Cano, dean of the Institution.
The owner is the Madrid lawyer José Luis González Martínez who, together with his wife, Puri, entrusted his project to our architects. The house now contains a magnificent collection of contemporary works of art that its owners have been gathering in recent years.
Our architects, once again, set out to make the most beautiful house in the world, and they have succeeded. The house is integrated into the village of Mojacar, Almeria, where, as all the land is on a slope, the most rational solution is it is staggering. This was proposed and built by Roberto Puig, the architect who created and built, staggered, most of the houses that make up the village.
Our white house is organized by a double-height space that captures in a special way the light and opens to the beautiful distant landscape with the sea.
