Alberto Campo Baeza

On Thursday 24 June 2021, Alberto Campo Baeza will be granted an honorary doctorate by the National University of Rosario, Argentina. The award ceremony will take place via ZOOM and will be broadcasted on YouTube.
The announcement that the Spanish architect was to receive this prestigious award was made on September 17, 2020. The National University of Rosario is one of the most prestigious universities in Argentina. Other Spaniards to have received honorary doctorates from the university are Juan José Ibarretxe and Joan Manuel Serrat, and the architect Mario Corea.
Alberto Campo Baeza is an architect and Professor of Projects at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, the ETSAM UPM, and Plenary Member of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando. He already holds honorary doctorates from the San Pablo CEU University and the Lusíada University of Lisbon.
He has taught at the ETH in Zürich, the EPFL in Lausanne, PENN in Philadelphia, the CUA in Washington and NYIT in New York, among many others. He is currently Emeritus Professor at the UPM.
He has received numerous awards, including the Arnold Brunner Prize from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, the Tessenov Medal in Germany, the Attolini Prize in Mexico, and the Piranesi Prize from the Accademia Adrianea in Rome. He is a Fellow of the American AIA and the English RIBA. In 2020 he received the Gold Medal of Architecture of Spain and the National Architecture Prize of Spain.
