Alberto Campo Baeza

This house was born in response to an international competition organized in Italy; la Casa piú bella del Mondo (the most beautiful house in the world).

The requirements of the called for program were resolved in a singular volume in which the space on the ground floor opens to a walled garden.

The main living room diagonally connects two double height spaces which have the same dimension in both plan and section. The main source of the diagonal light is a large skylight which opens in the farthest and highest reaches of the ceiling.

Once more searching, if possible, for a more precise diagonal space crossed by a diagonal light.
