I had never, until now, sent any of my works to any award. Only if the organizers expressly requested it.

In this case, the clients, Nancy Olnick and Giorgio Spanu, have been, as always, exceptionally good to me. And I know how excited they were that this pavilion, dedicated to Nancy’s father, Robert Olnick, and made with the architect Miguel Quismondo, would be recognized. That is why I have made the exception of sending it to prestigious award competitions this past year.

We have had 12 awards: 6 first prizes, 3 honorable mentions and 3 finalists. And I can only express my gratitude to the organizers. And the Olnick Spanu, and I with them, are happy.
