On 19 October, the new Arquia Bank offices in Avenida Reyes Católicos in Burgos were inaugurated. The event was presided over by Javier Navarro, director of the bank.

The most striking feature of this new project is the complete façade with a state-of-the-art LED screen. On the outside, it transmits images and, on the inside, it is possible to see the outside. Messages from Arquia, or whatever Arquia wants, can be broadcast.

From the street, it will be seen as a single 10×5 m image, so that when we enter it, it will seem as if we are passing through it, as Alice did with the mirror in Lewis Carroll’s story.

We have worked with a manufacturer who, with the latest technology in transparent LED screens, makes the double operation of viewing images from the outside and transparency from the inside possible and affordable.

The interior of the premises extends from the street façade to a rear courtyard garden. It is conceived as a large, elongated, empty room, with a strip of services on one side, behind a wall lined with mirrors that double the space. The toilets, staircase, lift and various storerooms are integrated into this side strip. In the final part which opens onto the courtyard, the space expands, and a multifunctional room is located behind a transparent sliding door.

The space is whitewashed and very bright, doubled by the use mirrors on one side.
