2017 FEB, OLNICK SPANU HOUSE WITH SNOW, Garrison, NY
BRUEGHEL´S SNOW
Like every winter, snow has fallen over Olnick Spanu house in Garrison, New York. And has painted it white. And despite the house is already simple, essential, built with few elements, the snow, with its abstraction power, makes it look even more. Mies’ Less is More almost becomes Nothing is more, or, logically, white is more. It reminds me to one of Brueghel’s paintings, as if the sheperds and the animals had escaped.
